Greenhouse Strategies, a global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of state of the art LED lighting applications, has announced today the installation of their LED street lights at Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National labs for a test pilot.
While the current lamps in use consume over 280 watts of energy, Greenhouse Strategies’ LED fixture can produce the same amount of desired light and operate on as little as 40 watts. The LED fixtures also are 100% environmentally safe, last up to 6 times longer and significantly reduce glare and light pollution.
“Our customers can realize a return on their investment in as little as two years because the energy and maintenance savings are significant”, says Steve Cronley Managing Director of Greenhouse Strategies. “the employees at the lab loved the quality of light because it replicates daylight instead of a harsh yellow glare.”
Brookhaven National labs is recommending the installation of Greenhouse Strategies LED lamps in several new projects on campus including a brand new lab not yet built.
